Creative Commons

Not only are you a user of information, you create it, too! If you would like people to be able to use your words, songs, pictures or other creations, mark them with a Creative Commons license.
Creative Commons was created as a way for creators to let others know how they want them to be able to use their work. This lets creators set up the rules for using their work and lets users use the work with the knowledge that they are following the creator's rules, without having to worry about getting permission or violating copyright.
You get to pick:
  • Can others make changes to your work
  • If they have to share it the same as you share it
  • Can others use it to make money
The creator should always be given credit for creating the work.
To get a Creative Commons license, go to creativecommons.org/choose. Answer a few questions about how you want your work to be used and the website will make a license for you.
You'll need Adobe Flash to view YouTube videos. Download it at http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
